Use a friend or relative to help you quit smoking

Trying to quit smoking can be extremely hard and to some people it may seem impossible. One of the ways that will help make quitting smoking easier is having a buddy to share your goal with. This buddy can be another relative or a friend that smokes. Having a buddy to share your goal with will allow you to motivate each other and somewhat ease the stress of quitting. Also you and your quitting buddy can join a support group together to make going to support meetings something to do together and less like a chore. Using a quitting buddy may also motivate you or your buddy to quit smoking faster. A buddy system will also keep either one of you from dropping out of quitting and helping you stay focused on your goal.

An even better way is to have a bunch of friends and relatives that share the same goal to quit smoking. This will provide lots of motivation and really keep you focused on your goal. Also, with a group of friends you may even be able to form your own private support group if you feel uncomfortable in a public support group.
